Sail away to shores of inspiration while being careful not to get lost in the fog. This feels like one way to interpret the inspirations of the week’s beginnings.
After all, on Monday we have Neptune stationing retrograde, as it does once each year. We also have messenger Mercury tying in to the Jupiter/Neptune Trine in the early days of this week.
And with this, we may feel moved to go with the flow, opening to the numinous, poetic, and compassionate. We may find that making space and doing “nothing” casts an invitation to the “everything” that fills us with a stream of feelings. These may include ecstasy and/or sorrow, and everything else in between; finding ground in the waves feels key so as to feel connected and not swept away.
Our minds may be open to a vast reservoir of inspiration, and we can tap into faith that allows us to speak for those in need. Infuse your words with feeling. Believe in your dreams and what is possible. And speaking of dreams, tune into what your nighttime visions perceive; after all, this week is a time when the veils between the layers of our mind (conscious and unconscious, personal and collective) seem more gossamer.
The Solstice arrives on Thursday and with that the beginning of Cancer Season. It’s a month where feelings reign and we’re called to protect those that we love. We find nurturance by rooting and nesting as well as nourishing ourselves, and the people and things that we love.
There’s a possibility of feeling at odds with another, if we perceive that what one of us desires is different than what the other truly appreciates. Be mindful and try to work out your differences and see if an accord can be found. Also, it’s a time for weaving together love and passion and/or fighting for what you value.
As the weekend approaches, honor the need to shine in a new way. Be innovative and experiment with how you approach things. All the while remember that language is transformative, having the power to create, destroy and renew.
Also, as Mars gets set to shift retrograde on Tuesday, June 26, this week things are Mars-inspired may seem to be ever more present. This includes impatience, desire, warriors, speed, willpower, exertion, and our relationship to anger. So, be mindful and diligent. Remember that Mars Retrograde isn’t “bad” but rather a time to find new ways to align, understand, and claim what we desire, what we want to fight for, how we fuel ourselves, and the way in which we relate to anger. More on Mars Retrograde next week.
