💫Astrological Reflections for the Women’s March💫

As I’m still quite under the weather, I can’t take to the streets with my sisters and brothers today, expressing in solidarity the sanctity of the female. To feel another level of connection to what is coming forth today, I thought to take a quick look at the astrology of the moment.

I cast this astrology chart for 10 am in Seattle as that’s the time that the gathering there is to begin. Regardless of time/place for the #womensmarch today, there are astrological factors that thread throughout—notable those that forge facets of the feminine—that I want to reflect upon, those that really struck me.

See Ceres + North Node? This is what first struck me. Simply put, the North Node is our destiny, our soul direction. Ceres is the fierce and great mother, the one that protects and shepherds her progeny at all costs. She’s the one who doesn’t sit by while her children are abused (remember, Ceres in Greek myth was Demeter who fought the patriarchal gods for the safety/return of her daughter Persephone who was abducted by Hades). This is a time to collectively step into the role of Ceres to fiercely fight for all living beings + everything of/on the Earth.

We then have the South Node connecting directly with Juno. The South Node corresponds with where we’ve been, our karmic imprints, our fall-back places. Juno is the asteroid related to marriage and partnership. In Roman myth, she was married to the king-of-the-pantheon Jupiter, who happened to be a premier philanderer. Yet Juno still maintained the role of faithful wife. She seemed to be relatively ‘accepting’ of his ways, notably compared to her Greek myth counterpart Hera who took wrath out on Zeus’ consorts, although still remained faithful to and supportive of him. So South Node with Juno may reflect how just sitting on the sidelines while adultery and disrespect is going on—and projecting and taking out the upset caused by disrespect of men upon other women—is past conditioning that needs to be healed by being released and becoming a thing of the past.

We’ve got the Moon in Pisces with Neptune. We’re collectively more open to feel (Moon) into the suffering of others while also being able to channel healing (Neptune).

And finally, Venus is with the Sun although separating from it…poetically speaking, the feminine who holds the power of her seductive and creative powers (Venus) can co-exist with the solar principle (both collectively, and her own) and yet has the freedom to move away from and exist without being subsumed by the patriarchy.

One last astrological note—in the #SeattleWomensMarch chart, we have Chiron on the Ascendant. We carry the flag of our wounds, and use them to power our ability to offer healing to others.

Remember, the feminine exists within all of us, regardless of sex or gender. We can ALL fight for, usher in, embrace, and embody the feminine, no matter who we are. ⭐️💜🙌
