Hello, Taurus Season!
The Sun strolls through Taurus April 19 through May 20. During Taurus season, we are embraced by a sense of wanting to experience life through our senses. Pleasure becomes us, and we find it through sensually stimulating experiences—through touch, taste, smell, sound, and sight—that leave us feeling alive and turned on. We’re pulled towards luxury not only in the sybaritic realms but also in terms of relishing spending our time more leisurely and at a slower pace. It’s a period of steadfast practicality, where we’re called to create approaches that successfully address issues of the manifest and mundane. Focusing in on finances aligns with this time as we’re drawn to what it means for something—and someone—to have value and richness. We’re attuned to the rhythms of nature, with the earth giving us nurturance, and the material world both our stage and canvas. Routines offer richness, as it’s a time of feeling satisfied by the reliability of consistent rhythms.

Yet, as it’s a month when regularity yields a sense of security, we could find change to be more challenging than usual. Having confidence that one can re-establish cadence after an alteration can do wonders for mitigating stress during Taurus season; it may also help to assuage the tendency for stubbornness and fixity with which the astrological Bull is associated. And with pragmatism taking priority, we just need to be careful that we don’t miss the subtleties and those things that are not often apparent on the surface. While routines may be satisfying it’s important to keep an eye out that the habits we hold are those that are actually uplifting and nourishing, rather than just being rewarding because they are well-tred. Also, as a time when sensual pleasures may be exceptionally captivating, keeping a watchful eye on our wallets and waistlines may protect us from later regrets.
