I love flower essences. These natural elixirs are almost magical in their way to help inspire a greater sense of well-being, addressing underlying causes of stress patterns to bring back balance to the mind and heart.
For many years now, I've been fascinated by and passionate about the way that flower essences and astrology align, including this in my book Planetary Apothecary.
Recently, I wrote an article featured in April/May issue of The Mountain Astrologer magazine on this topic called Stellar Elixirs: An Astrological Approach to Flower Essences. It was an honor to be able to share my work on this subject with others in this way...and another honor to find out that the article is now available online on the Astro.com website.
The correlation between signs and flower essences is not the only way that these two systems can work in tandem to support well-being. Flower essences are great adjuncts to be used during periods of unfoldings; for example, Walnut is great for helping to inspire a sense of self-agency during the Saturn Return (28 - 30 years old) while Yarrow is beneficial for those who are opening to subtle energies during the Neptune Square (40 - 42 years old). In addition to the work that I do in this area with clients, I'll be writing and teaching more about this arena. In fact, I'm having a call later today to discuss crafting an article on this subject for the Flower Essence Society's online journal. I'll keep you posted about this quite exciting possibility.
