Stellar Insights: August 24 - 30, 2020

Hurry up and wait. That phrase may capture some of the feeling that the beginning of the week features. We may find ourselves wanting to get the show on the road while at the same time realizing that we don’t necessarily have what we need at the moment to pursue our aims in the most efficient or effective ways. While staying still doesn’t seem alluring neither does action for action sake.

Can you find a middle ground that honors movement as well as prudence, that takes into consideration the present as well as the future, that upholds your desire to champion something of essential import in the here and now while also keeping sight of your long-term goals? Remember that it may take work, but that it is possible to do. Yet don’t worry if you can’t find the exact recipe for this this week, since this is a realm we’ll be focusing on for the coming months.

The reason?

Monday features a tense square alignment between warrior Mars and architect Saturn. Yet it’s not a one-and-done since, owing to Mars’ upcoming retrograde cycle, the fiery championing planet will make this connection to follow-the-rules Saturn two more times, on September 29 and January 13. As such, it seems that in the coming months many lessons may center on becoming more conscious about why and how we move, what it is that causes us to spring into action and how we can use our energy more productively to meet our desired outcomes.

Yet, that’s not the only strong invitation of the week. Another one centers on our getting more clear about our values, what we deem to have richness, and what we believe to truly have worth. It’s important to not lose sight of this among large-scale promises made by others. Be careful to not sell yourself short, nor sell off inherent advantages you have nor compromise your values because of a story of grandeur spun by another/others.

This week, we also have the opportunity to really dig deep and see how to take our love to the next level. And yet, if we’ve not been honest with ourselves—let alone others—we may find that we no longer have the ability to turn a blind eye to these churning feelings. Any out-of-sight-out-of-mind strategy we’ve been employing may just seem to run out of steam as we find ourselves compelled to deal with feelings we’d been avoiding.

Yes, it may feel uncomfortable and yet we need to heed the call to come from as truthful and honest a place in our lives as we can. Remember that often times, after we’ve dredged up what we’ve cast away and we express it, things may be shaken up but what shakes out and away are things that have kept our relationships from flourishing as much as they can. Keeping our heart open, being attentive that our words are infused with compassion and that we’re tapping into a non-ending well of forgiveness and love will certainly help support and guide us during this week, one in which we have the opportunity to transform and deepen our relationships, and our relationship to relationships.
