The mood is set to shift early this week.

With Monday finding us in the last full day of Libra Season, diplomacy, equality, and justice may be especially top of mind. Consider all you’ve learned in the last month when it comes to the process by which you make choices, aim for balance, and infuse your life with the grace that comes through social engagements.

Then, on Tuesday, we plunge into Scorpio Season, and a month of plumbing the depths of life, exploring the underbelly of things, reclaiming that which is often shrouded from view because of its intensity and ability to stir up powerful feelings, including fear, desire, shame, and others that we often push aside. During this time of the year, that which may have been swept under the rug wants to emerge: for completion, for healing, for a reconnection to a holistic understanding of what’s real and what’s true. During this time, we’re called to the mysteries, to deciphering the who-done-it’s, while also probing the shadows of our psyche to better decode which parts of ourselves are the prime suspects driving different feelings, motivations, and urges.

A Full Moon illuminates the sky mid-week. With the Sun in probing Scorpio and the Moon in find-security Taurus, our focus may be on a deep-dive yet pragmatic exploration as to what it is that truly and honestly has us feeling good. We may consider and invite in the things that delight our senses as well as those that stoke our inner passion, things that beckon us both sensually and emotionally.

Given that Venus in Scorpio aligns with this Full Moon, seduction seems like a key theme, a realm about which we are prime to learn more. What does it take for you to be seduced? How do you orient when you want to seduce another? And how does seduction—the process of luring and giving way—feel to you? Is it something you find enrapturing or something that gives you pause given its relationship to (having and/or not having) power and control?

When I speak of seduction, I’m thinking of it from the perspective not limited to the arenas of sensuality, sexuality, and passion (although this week does feel like it features heightened stirrings in these domains). I’m also thinking about it from the perspective of all situations where we are enticed or tempted to let go, or to allow ourselves to be led astray from our plotted course, to feel as if we’re being pulled from deep within our desire nature rather than our rational mind.

This week, one of the keys to discovery in this area may be to let yourself be filled with wonder and a beginner’s mind. Be open to the unexpected and stay bouncy. This may help you maintain a sense of center in a week that may offer numerous turn-of-events, not-the-usuals and didn’t-see-it-comings. Also, let yourself be surprised by yourself, by what you want to do, by how you feel, by what you notice both turns you on and gives you a more grounded sense of authentic security.

I share this perspective given that in addition to Venus tying into the Full Moon, so does revolutionary and innovative Uranus, currently in Taurus. And with that, also consider that any shake-ups that arise, even as unsettling as they could be in the moment, may shake things loose; in doing so, they may free up energy, allowing for a new perspective as to how to practically affirm and work towards ways to transform facets of your life and/or that of the community around you.

Yet, remember that shake-ups don’t have to be passive, events that we sit on the sidelines waiting for with bated breath; meaning, during this time, it’s not necessarily that it’s only outside influences that can shuffle things around—we can too! Consider where you can take proactive steps that align with your values to shift things around, rearranging some of the puzzle pieces of your life.

In a week in which the astrological landscape reflects the possibility of a multitude of October Surprises, what about riffing on that for yourself and designing your own: a campaign that aims to redirect your aim in a way that helps you to elect new ways to govern your life so you can gain even greater access to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
