With the week beginning just as Saturn shifts retrograde, the archetypes associated with this extolling-responsibility, maintaining-accountability, revering-integrity, and reap-what-you-sow planet may appear quite prominent.

We may see, whether in our own lives or in the news, that if we cut corners, we have to deal with the consequences of that being unmasked. Saturn, as the governor of chronos, reminds us of the virtue of time, and how it is an essential ingredient in any recipe. If Monday morning has you feeling slow and sluggish, wanting to move at no more than a snail’s pace, honor that; see how proceeding in a leisurely yet conscious way allows you to be more present in the present.

Saturn isn’t the only planet shifting retrograde this week. Right on the heels of that, we have the beginning of the six-week Venus Retrograde cycle, a time for re-evaluating what we value. If you want some more insights on what this time may yield, check out this 3-minute video that I made and posted on IGTV. In the coming days, as Venus seems to stand stationary in the sky as it shifts directions, Venusian themes such as relationships, beauty, pleasure, money, and values it may also seem quite powerful and play a more focused role in our attention.

Rounding out the trifecta of planets shifting retrograde is Jupiter, which begins its backwards dance on Thursday. And with this, we may also find that we connect to an enhanced sense of possibility this week, a feeling of greater optimism than we may have previously felt. We may experience a desire to grow and exert more freedom than we’ve recently had.

This may be quite tricky, though. After all, it feels important at this moment in time to watch for the rose-colored-glasses syndrome, notably when it comes to our individual and collective health. As much as we may want to believe that things are getting better—after all, it will keep us going with the endurance we need to move through and construct our new now—it feels really important to make sure that our beliefs truly align with the truth of the matter. If not, a collective conclusion that great progress has been made, when/if it has not, could lead us to dismantling structures that are in place that were designed to preserve our holistic well-being for the long term.

I find this week to be super interesting too, in a foreshadowing sort of way, given that both Jupiter and Saturn are stationing and therefore at once capturing our attention. “Foreshadowing” because come December 21, they align in a once-every-20-ish-year conjunction. When this happens we need to find ways to marry forces what seem on the surface to be dissonant, including growth (Jupiter) and limits (Saturn); optimism (Jupiter) and pessimism (Saturn); possibility (Jupiter) and probability (Saturn); and, faith (Jupiter) and facts (Saturn).

Another way I’ve also been seeing how these two come together is by thinking about how at this moment many people are feeling both limited (Saturn) and stretched (Jupiter), and how restrictions (Saturn) are the catalyst for expanding one’s sense of inner growth and capacity (Jupiter). See if reflecting upon this dynamic brings you further inspirations that help you with your wayfinding.

I hope that this week is one that provides you with a deeply etched experience of beauty, wisdom, and alignment.

All my best,
Stephanie
