Mars Retrograde: September 9 - November 13, 2020

Since June 27 when Mars moved into Aries, it’s seemed like there’s been an extra battery pack that we’ve been able to plug into to mine for energy. Additionally, frustrations have seemed more readily on tap as has the will to express just what it is that riles us up.

Mars will be retrograde from September 9 through November 13 (the latter seeming to be a quite powerful week given all that’s occurring, although we’ll leave that exploration for another day). 

During this time, we have the opportunity to learn more about what it means to be a warrior and how we can do so in an even more conscious way. We do so, though, by doing things different than usual. We go back over things, and review them, gathering valuable treasures which come through patience as well as by turning to the past. We approach things from a different angle. We learn how to modulate our rate of movement and how much energy we use at any given time. 

Mars Retrograde can be a powerful time to gather a set of relatively undiscovered wisdom that will help us to hone our ability to tap into our willpower.

That said, it can be a frustrating time, notably if we don’t follow Mars’ lead. If we push too hard, if we try to just keep on keeping on in the way that we pursue things, if we want things to happen at a tout suite pace, invariably we’ll be annoyed with upsets and mishaps may potential outcome.

So we honor an “as above, so below” perspective: as Mars moves backwards and retraverses its territory so should we. It’s a fruitful time to go back over things and revisit situations, notably those related to what we desire, how we fight for what we want, and the ways in which we bolster a reliable energy source so that we can move about in the world as we’d like. 

Mars in Aries, regardless of the direction it appears to be moving—likes things short and simple. As such, here’s some maxims that may be beneficial for the next nine-plus weeks, during Mars Retrograde.

 * Don’t push too hard.

* Work hard to be patient.

* Go slow and relish the power of the pause.

* See how stillness inspires motion within as it connects you to awareness.

* Reconsider what it is that you’re fighting for and how you want to better do so.

* Reflect upon how to consciously channel anger and rage.

* Take a good look at what catalyzes you to further discover hidden motivations.

* Tap into and embrace your desire nature, being open to what you may discover.
