Stellar Insights: September 13 - 19, 2021
The moment after I wrote down the astrological highlights for this week, these lyrics—from a quite popular number sung by the likes of Ozzie Nelson, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Cass Elliot of the Mamas & the Papas, and many others—came into my mind:
Sweet dreams till sunbeams find you
Sweet dreams that leave all worries behind you
But in your dreams whatever they be
Dream a little dream of me
The reason being? Tuesday, the Sun opposes Neptune, the planet of dreams and dreaminess.
This could have us experiencing life from a vantage point in which we perceive the interconnectedness of everything and find ourselves in awe of the almost magical quality of events. Synchronicities may be more apparent, and we may find ourselves highly tuned into our intuition and imagination, as things may seem to make sense on a level beyond that which we usually recognize. Pay attention to your dreams and see what they offer.
And yet, we need to make sure we don’t get carried away with too much dreaminess. While our dreams—whether our nighttime oneiric journeys or our daytime imaginative sojourns—may inspire us on the deepest levels and inform how we want to orient in our lives, we need to remember to discern what is inherently possible from what is inherently probable. We also need to make sure that we stay grounded, so that an inclination to drift doesn’t have us not paying attention at crucial moments, perhaps leading to mishaps.
This week we also have Mars dancing into Libra, where it will reside through October 30. Anytime a planet moves into Libra (or Aries, Cancer, or Capricorn, the other cardinal signs), it is said to be on the Cardinal Axis, a spot that connects the personal with the public stage. As such, we may more strongly notice Mars in Libra themes—the need to move diplomatically, a desire for fairness and equality, and assertions within partnerships—out in the world this week.
As the weekend draws closer, we have a Venus/Saturn Square, a moment in which we may find ourselves called to take something within a relationship more seriously. We’re less able to sidestep the things we haven’t wanted to deal with when it comes to a partnership dynamic. This could also/instead be experienced when it comes to money matters; as such, it’s a good week to take a look at your assets and valuables to ensure you’re being as responsible as you can regarding them.
Lastly, we’re moving towards a Full Moon which occurs on Monday, September 20. Featuring the Moon in Pisces and the Sun in Virgo, this weekend we may already feel its invitation: to focus in on our holistic well-being, to see how the logical and intuitive can be allies, and to craft rituals that bring us a deeper sense of peace and grace. That said, watch out a heightened penchant for perfection, and the worry and criticality that that can yield.
All my best,
Stephanie
