Stellar Insights: June 6 - 12, 2022
This is one of the weeks I’ve had my eye on for a while. The reason?
Saturday features the union of love planet Venus and shake-it-up Uranus. I’ve been interested in this alignment not only for what it may usher in but also for how it connects to things that may further come to light later this year. Let’s cover the current moment first and then talk about the possible pattern that may emerge over the coming months.
When we think of relationships, we think of Venus, as it’s a marker for partnerships and alliances. It also represents what we find pleasurable and beautiful. It reflects a beckoning energy, which has a magnetic quality to it, attracting that which it values. Speaking of values, that is at the core of Venus, as it stands for that which we cherish, see as an asset, and deem to have worth. Venus’ realms are those that enrich us. As such, it also includes money matters.
Now let’s add Uranus to the mix. When the planet of creative chaos joins Venus, we should expect the unexpected when it comes to any of these Venusian realms of life. Approaching this week knowing that out-of-the-blue will be au courant will help us to stem stress since we’ll be less likely to be caught off guard. That’s not to say you shouldn’t make arrangements or schedule gatherings—just stay bouncy, remembering the idiom about the best-laid plans (and how they sometimes go awry).
How to make the most of this alignment? Rather than waiting for things to be shaken up, shake them up yourself. Give yourself freedom to express yourself in ways that mirror what you find beautiful, donning a style unique to you. And/or: instead of hanging out with the same people at the same place and talking about the same things, invite in the new. Get together for an other-than-usual activity, perhaps even inviting others to join in. Doing so will not only be fun but can energize your hearts, minds, and the connection you share.
Uranus encourages us to stake our claim to freedom and independence and do things out of the ordinary. As it aligns with Venus, it propels us to throw off the manacles of the shoulds that don’t really align with our true principles, those that we believe can infuse life with love and beauty. In doing so, we tap into an a revolutionary and rebellious energy that ignites us to fight against facets of the established order, which are out of step with our visions and values for the future.
Reflecting this, it was not surprising to me when I learned that June 11 was the date planned for the latest March for Our Lives, a series of nationwide demonstrations to protest against gun violence. Communities coming together as a collective to make their voices heard, to advocate for changes to the status quo approach of gun regulation—one that is stemming the tide of the epidemic that is plaguing the U.S.—seems very Venus/Uranus to me. (If you’re interested, you can find a march near you here.)
Now let’s look at the pattern that I was referring to earlier.
What’s also fascinating about this Venus/Uranus Conjunction is that it occurs at 16 degrees of Taurus, a zodiacal spot that’s ties into the upcoming lunar eclipse on November 8 (as it will be the spot where the Moon will reside during this event).
So, whatever may arise for you this week related to a shift in how you stand for love, what you declare to have worth, how you define beauty, and the ways in which you advocate for your value (and your values) may return to your attention when November arrives. The effect of what you begin to set into motion now related to changes you feel called to make may come to greater light at that time.
These two moments are also linked to the end of July and beginning of August as that’s when assertive Mars will reside in this zodiacal spot (and unite with Uranus itself). As such, you may find that during that time you take actions that further support the awareness that arose for you this week, and that that too will be connected to what you learn in early November.
All said, we can also look at this from a collective perspective, given that November 8, the date of the Lunar Eclipse, is the day of the U.S. midterm elections. As such, while I wouldn’t venture a guess on how that will turn out (besides that it will likely be chaotic, which one doesn’t need astrology to assume), it does seem like there is a connection between the events of this week—including the heightened attention on gun violence in the collective owing to Saturday’s March for Our Lives gatherings—and the elections. Once again, one doesn’t need astrology to consider that gun control will be an important ballot box issue. And yet, given the timing of all this, it definitely emphasizes that it has the potential to be quite a revolutionary issue that will powerfully mobilize people to vote.
To close, I thought to offer you additional stellar self-care suggestions to support you this week of the Venus/Uranus Conjunction:
Write a love letter to yourself, declaring all the reasons you value and cherish yourself.
Change up your style, wearing something that you usually don’t.
Surprise a friend with a phone call, invitation to get together, or small gift left on their doorstep.
Treat yourself to something beautiful or delicious.
If you’re feeling a bit edgy, use Rescue Remedy flower essence to help you find calm and center.
Also, if you’re curious where this 16 Taurus spotlight falls in your chart and what it may inspire for you throughout the year, we can definitely focus upon that in a personal Stellar Guidance Session.
Wishing you a week of beautiful surprises,
Be well,
