That’s the amount of steps I took yesterday as I walked around and explored Amsterdam. It’s my personal record so far (at least since I began recording my paces since I arrived in Europe several weeks ago).

The whole experience—walking so much and wanting to do so whenever I can, obsessively checking my step app every few hours, being focused on beating my previous day’s best, the galvanized willpower I have for getting in shape, etc.—is quite out of character for me. I’m also quite shocked not only at how I’m really wanting to push myself but also the fitness capacity that I actually have. It’s all rather surprising, to say the least.

I share this with you as it’s one way I’ve seen the Mars/Uranus Conjunction connecting with the North Node has manifested for me and a way I thought to offer an example of the shifts in behavior and awareness that this alignment may inspire. (For a reminder of how it may be offering us a celestial shake-up, see my article from last week.) Reflecting this, here are some Stellar Reflection Questions that may help you perceive and attune to its invitations.

How are you being called to move differently?
Are you finding yourself being competitive in ways that surprise you?
Are you exerting yourself in a style that is not your usual?
Are you proceeding down routes that are off the beaten path?
Have you noticed yourself having a drive to accomplish something radically new?
Are you accessing new energy sources that are allowing you to push yourself in a unique direction?
Have your desires shifted?
Are you redefining strategies and/or redesigning game plans?

Of course, it may not just be you that’s pivoting and/or propelling yourself in a non-ordinary—and extra-ordinary—way. You may notice others around you, whether those in your personal life and/or on the world stage, to be doing so as well.

What’s quite significant about this time is that this redirect may not only be offering a temporary shake-up to the status quo. Rather, given how the North Node weaves into the Mars/Uranus Conjunction, what’s manifesting may actually end up having an indelible impact upon how we define our desires as well as the confidence we have in our ability to assert ourselves in order to achieve them.

It’s important to note that the invitations of Mars and Uranus this month are not exclusive to this week’s special alignment. Both planets play roles in subsequent astro happenings occurring throughout August. As such, remember that the nature of nature is change and that it’s currently a time rife with beautiful surprises: this will allow you to make significant strides this month in accessing more creative freedom and discovering ways to further push yourself to uphold and advocate for the life you want to live.
