Stellar Insights: January 23 - 29, 2023

Here are some insights about the opportunities and challenges that this week’s astrology may offer. May they help you make the most of this moment.

Has anything new begun to emerge over the past few days? Have you found yourself with a desire to pursue a new project, or tact, or way of orienting? I ask as the numerous astrological events over the weekend seem to have set a stage for shifts in our awareness and/or how we approach situations.

On Saturday, we had the Aquarius New Moon, which may have sparked our ability to see patterns and hone our sights upon engaging with a wider mosaic. With Sunday’s Venus/Saturn Conjunction, more clarity may have emerged in terms of what we cherish, and what steps we need to take to preserve what we deem to hold value.

And with Uranus shifting direct—and the energetic qualities of this change-maker planet potentiating the collective field—we may have found ourselves more open to invitations to detour, pivot, shake things up, and/or stay bouncy. Electricity and energy may also have been potent themes given that they are in the Uranian realm. (I had to only laugh on Saturday when we had a power outage for half the day owing to a wind storm; we ended up doing things we wouldn't have usually done—reading by flashlight, cooking on the grill, and even going to an arcade—all of which gave me a first-hand experience of the benefits of a detour that a Uranian surprise can bring.)

Remember that we can still tap into the energetics of a planet shifting directions days after it does so. As such, this clarion call to experiment, contest and/or innovate will likely feel quite palpable the first few days of this week. With Uranus shifting direct, all the planets are now moving forward (until May 1). And with that, a clearer sense of momentum, impetus, and advance—which felt so elusive over the last few months—may now feel more accessible.

In terms of this week’s astrological movements, we have love planet Venus gliding into Pisces. As it swims in the pool of this empathic, imaginative, and dreamy sign through February 20, we may find ourselves tapping into a greater well of compassion, intuition, and unconditional love.

As we approach this coming weekend, we can attune to some quite flowing energy. The Sun/Mars Trine can help us access our willpower and our desire to take ownership of who we are and what helps us to more brightly shine. And the Mercury/Uranus Trine opens up more spaciousness for innovation when it comes to learning, communicating, and connecting the dots. Taken together, the themes of action and mobility may assume a starring role; reflecting this, look for opportunities through which you can experience movement, physically, intellectually, and/or socially.
