indistinct, fuzzy, hazy, misty, foggy, shadowy, smoky, faint. unclear, vague, indefinite, unfocused, obscure, lacking definition, ill-defined, out of focus, nebulous

These, according to Lexico, are synonyms for the word “blurred”– the first word I thought of when reflecting upon the feeling tone that may waft itself through this week. After all, between this weekend’s Solar Eclipse and Neptune shifting retrograde on Tuesday (let alone both Mercury and Venus still being retrograde), we’re in a sea of obscurity.

Yet remember that from unclarity is born clarity. While having patience to stay in the space where things feel…take your pick…indistinct, fuzzy, hazy, misty, foggy, shadowy, smoky, faint. unclear, vague, indefinite, unfocused, obscure, lacking definition, ill-defined, out of focus, nebulous…is challenging, when we realize that it is as it should be, that everything—including this current lack of clarity—is temporary, and that it may also be providing us with the space for integrated lucidity to gestate and more firmly take root in the future, it should hopefully give us more patience and tamped-down frustration to stay with it. As you navigate the present moment, watch that any worry from your rational mind—which loves the perceived control that perceived certainty affords—doesn’t turn up its volume too much and drown out the knowing voice of your feelings and intuition, which can be powerful allies in this liminal time.

With Venus preparing to end its retrograde cycle later this week, themes related to this planet may also appear to be very attention-catching. Whether its relationships, partnerships, money, pleasure, harmony, and/or your sense of self-worth, pay attention to what insights may be coming through. Venus has been retrograde in Gemini since May 13; as it sets to shift direct, the re-evaluation that we may have experienced in our life may further yield insights of awareness, which we may then begin to move forward with in an even more confident way in the coming weeks. You can gain more personalized insights into the realm of re-evaluation that you may have experienced by seeing where 5 to 22 Gemini fall in your astrology chart, as this is the spectrum of the zodiac that Venus re-traversed during this time. (If you don’t know your full astrology chart, but do know your Ascendant, you can reflect upon the house that it travels by viewing your chart via the Whole Sign House System. You can find information on that in my Venus Retrograde article.)

Also this week Mars shifts into Aries. I often don’t point out the movement of a personal planets (i.e., Mercury, Venus, or Mars) yet this feels important. The reason being is that this year, in addition to Mercury Retrograde (which happens three times a year) and Venus Retrograde (which happens every 18 months) we also have a Mars Retrograde (which happens once every 2-plus years). It occurs in Aries and instead of the six weeks that Mars usually spends in a sign, it will spend over six months in Aries!

It truly feels like better understanding what it is that we want to champion, and how to do so, is about to play a starring role in the cosmic curriculum, and our lives. Mars will be retrograde from September 9 to November 13. As you can imagine, I’ll be writing a lot more about as the weeks pass; but with Aries being the sign of immediacy that also governs the head, I did think it would be good to give you a heads-up in the here/now so that you could have this in your sights.

Last but not least (remember again there was a reason I called my recent AstroSalon in which I gave a survey of this month WTF June!), next week brings another Jupiter/Pluto Conjunction, the second of three this year. And while this occurs exactly on June 30, its potency has a wider berth. We have definitely felt this strongly this month, with large and expansive (Jupiter) dismantling and toppling (Pluto) institutionalized structures (Capricorn, the sign in which they both reside). Yet, I bring this to your attention this week as this urge to deconstruct-to-reconstruct, tap into the depth of our personal resources and resourcefulness, and our having limited bandwidth for BS may also feel more noticeable this week as well.

To go back to where we started this post’s journey (itself a very retrograde-focused action), stay steady in any unsteadiness by accepting the current unclarity, tuning in to your feelings and intuition, and having patience to allow a more grounded sense of lucidity to gestate and emerge.

All my very best,

Stephanie
