Diving into the Depths: The Pluto Station
Diving into the Depths: The Pluto Station
Do things feel heavy? Did you go to sleep or awaken with a sense of darkness? Does it feel like something is wanting to burst forth, whether a stream of tears or fears, or rage of about pages of injustices that you just can’t turn your eyes from anymore?
If so, you’re likely not alone. After all, today Pluto, the planet that inspires us to touch-the-depths, shifts direct. When a planet like Pluto appears to change directions, which it does twice a year, that which is associated with it feel more alive and potent in our conscious. And given it’s Pluto, which is strongly connected to the unconscious, there as well.
What to do? Connect to what you feel and find ways to support yourself doing so. Share your feelings with a friend, dive into an artistic project, take a much needed time-out and focus on what would make you feel good.
I love the question “What’s the worst that can happen?” and find it especially instrumental to help us as we navigate times when Pluto is strong in the kairos. Turn to your fear, anxiousness and/or disquietude, reflecting upon what may be encouraging it, and ask “What’s the worst that can happen?”
For some situations by bringing it to light you’ll see that there is no ‘there’ there, that what you thought you were afraid of doesn’t hold weight.
For others, you may connect with the possibility that inspires fear and then see strategies that you can use to allay that. For example, if you’re anxious of there being an earthquake, that feeling could have you more motivated to construct an emergency preparedness kit/plan. And while that kit/plan doesn’t have the ability to stem off a potential earthquake, that you’ll be more prepared SHOULD it happen itself can allay some fear and inspire great empowerment.
There’s not much room for BS in strong Pluto times. We burrow down into the meaningful, and discern more what is meaningful and what isn’t. And so today, even with any heaviness you may feel, dive into the recesses of your heart and explore what/who has meaning to you, and invite it/them into your life. On this day of strong stirrings, this may have us feel more stirred by love, beauty, and our illuminated heart.
