Sh*t.

It’s definitely a theme this week.

It may be challenging to deal with it yet by doing so things will feel a lot more clear.

This sh*t, it may be ours: whether our default habits driven by unconscious motivations, the fears that we keep sweeping under the rug because we don’t want to acknowledge them, and/or the frustrations we haven’t dealt with which have a way of seeping in and peppering our communications.

This sh*t may also be even more literal. It may be that stuff we’ve amassed that just sits unused in the back of our closet. Or we may even find ourselves dealing with our digestive system, seeing how the worry that our psychological sh*t whips up is having an effect on our body processes.

Or the sh*t that’s arising may be someone else’s. We could find ourselves either shocked that there’s so much of it, or realize that what we thought was BS is actually just a cover-up for their sorrows, for which we find ourselves suddenly having more compassion.

With Mercury in Scorpio, continuing through its retrograde cycle through November 20, dealing with our sh*t will not only give us liberation and clarity, but it will help us to clean stuff up so that it doesn’t amass more and have sh*t hit the fan in a more concentrated manner later on. Reflecting on the messenger planet’s retrograde movement, going back to the past may give us the insight and treasures needed to clean up messes both from then and now.

Yes, this may be intense. Trust me, I’m in the thick of it too. Yet, we’ve got some further assistance this week to help us push through including the two rulers of Scorpio—Mars and Pluto—facing off in a square alignment.

And with that, we can pull into a depth of power and resilience that may often seem to allude us. We may find ourselves overcome with a drive to be unrelenting, to hold fast to what we know we need to do to feel more aligned. To do so takes consciousness and the need for honesty. If we’ve been sidestepping truthfulness and not acknowledging our desires, frustrations could arise.

Digging in to know what it is that motivates us and that we want to fight for feels even more important this week given that Mars also opposes Eris. This could inspire some rattling cages as upset and anger can arise if we feel that our value is being discounted. If this occurs, being conscious about just what it is that is triggering us can do wonders to have us not start wars that in the end we’d rather not truly engage in. Eris draws our attention to the parts of ourselves that feel uninvited, whether by others (individuals or society) or even by ourselves.

Taking the time to survey which aspects of ourselves we cast away and don’t welcome into the core of our being is quite valuable this week. Acknowledging these facets of self will not only be a significant step in feeling more whole but it may also help us to keep away from experiences that may feel triggering, having us go into battle against something rather than using our strategic will to fight for something we truly cherish.

Remember that with the Mars/Eris Opposition some of the awareness we get may come vis-à-vis the theme of a thrown monkey wrench. We may find ourselves surprised by some mischief and discord that is detouring our best-laid plans; if this happens to you, see what this surprise shows you. Alternatively/additionally, it may be us who can throw a monkey wrench into our plans when we see that we are not pursuing them consciously; doing so may shake things up in such a way that we are able to embrace something with more understanding and clarity.

A powerful ally for clarity and insights this week? Our dreams. Thursday we have the last of three harmonious alignments between make-it-real Saturn and numinous Neptune. This giving-structure-to-inspirations encouragement is made even more bright since the Sun connects to both of them that very day. As such, connecting to our dreams, our imaginations, and what we feel truly moves us may help to not only give us strength but also a deeper understanding of just how to navigate through the trenches so that we can deal with our sh*t and even further connect to the richness that resides within us.
