Hello, Venus!

The planet of love and beauty, the one that reminds us what of we cherish and find valuable, the one that has us look to relationships to see what they reflect about ourselves and whether they’re calling for a recalibration…Venus is a star of the stellar show this week.

She plays this role this while being in Virgo, the sign that reminds us of the importance of the details, how the piece parts make up the whole, and that every action we take, no matter how seemingly small, has a richness and import beyond its size. Venus in Virgo reminds us of the beauty inherent in nature, the joy of seeing how things weave themselves together to create a unified tapestry, and how being in service is not only one of the deepest expressions of love but something that can fill us with a sense of great reward.

With Venus in Virgo connecting harmoniously to Jupiter, Pluto, and Saturn in Capricorn, we may find ourselves called to tap into the ways in which we can give shape and form to projects that have practical value, that remind us of the inherent grace of nature, and that work towards enhancing our—and others’—well-being. We’re pulled to recognize that by feeling grounded, we can plant our visions, have more awareness how to proceed, and feel ensconced by a pleasure that feels real and rooted in the here and now.

And…Hello, Mercury!

The planet of communications is yet another star of the stellar show this week. Mercury is currently in its retrograde cycle, reminding us of the value of going back over things, taking another pass at attending to the details of our message, and looking at our approach to information-gathering from a different angle.

The week builds towards the union of Mercury and the Sun and begins with Mercury in opposition to do-it-differently Uranus. And with that we may find ourselves wanting to break out of patterns when it comes to designing our messages and/or getting our point across. See how looking at things from a different angle can bring you new insights. Consider how shaking up an approach to sharing information can actually yield more promise than the original. Hold space for the potential that can be created by doing something innovative or somewhat radical, taking yourself on a creative detour to discover whether it can actually provide a solution that offers more rewards both to you and your audience.

Don’t be surprised that there may be surprises that arise. Expect the unexpected when it comes to others’ messages, keeping your proverbial knees bent so as to not feel totally thrown off center.

That said, we’ve become so accustomed to shocking words and actions that sometimes it feels like we’re becoming immune to them. Perhaps one of the surprises this week is that we discover ourselves having less tolerance for brushing off that which rattles us as “just the way things are”; instead we may find ourselves breaking out of patterns of acceptance and instead looking for innovative ways to push back.

Note that this is the second of three Mercury/Uranus Oppositions currently occurring this season. The first was October 8 while the last will be November 17. Consider how what may be arising when it comes to knowing, understanding, and sharing this week has some sort of connection to the time around October 8. And then when mid-November arrives see how it may help you to discover takeaways as to what you may have been learning over this six-week period when it comes to a revolutionary way to understand the deeper power of language.
