This week, justice is on our minds. As our thoughts center around what is fair and equal, we could also find ourselves focusing upon who is it that actually gets to be the voice of justice, the arbiter of parity. Who is it that we trust to play that role? And, who is it that’s been endowed with that role, and is that itself just and fair? We can look at these questions from varied lens, in our personal lives as well as upon the world stage.

I say this because Mercury ends its current retrograde cycle on Tuesday, in the sign of Libra. As we focus upon justice, we may also turn our attention to our relationships, to reflect upon what we’ve learned over the past several weeks when it comes to ways in which we can communicate with more honor, of ourselves and the other with whom we’re in partnership.

With Tuesday being Election Day in the U.S., and the Moon being in Gemini uniting with the destiny-oriented North Node, there’s bound to be an onslaught of various facts and figures that come towards us at lightning speed. It’s important to stay curious and (mentally) bouncy – not to get anchored in one piece of data or another, or one soundbyte of news or another, or people trying to make news when it hasn’t yet manifested…but rather to be patient as all the information streams through, not just over the day but the days to come. This feels like a way to center in an uncentering time, and do the best we can for our nervous system, itself under the rule of Mercury and Gemini.

With Mercury squaring reality-driven Saturn, communications without foundations may be taken to task later in the week. Remember that our words and thoughts matter, that they can filter how we engage in the world, and create our worlds. Being diligent and responsible with our communication, and how we connect the dots, as well as remembering that sometimes less is ultimately more, can be a helpful strategy.

Emotions are running high, as our tempers. It seems like so many people are tapping into a wellspring of deep feelings right now, including grief and mourning. As we inch to the last of the three Jupiter/Pluto Conjunctions (on November 12), it makes sense that this is one of the deep-dive journeys we’ve been on this year. I felt very intimate with grief and mourning this weekend, which inspires me to write a reflection on it; I hope that you find it helpful if this is an experience that’s feeling close to you right now.

Much love and strength,

Stephanie
