Stellar Insights: June 1 - 7, 2020
“A lot of things are true at the same time.”
As I was watching the unfolding protests on the news last night, I heard CNN anchor Chris Cuomo utter those words.
They resonated really deeply within me, reminding me of an essential truth that feels so important to remember. And yet it’s one that has felt really challenging for us collectively to be conscious of as there’s been a divisiveness and polarization that has encouraged people to only see one perspective rather than hold the complexity of the whole—and all its facets—in view.
I feel like the reminder of this axiom – A lot of things are true at the same time – is quite timely right now, given we’re in the hues of the June 5th Lunar Eclipse (which brings with it quite amplified illumination given it’s tie-in with battle-focused Mars.) With the Sun in fact-orienting Gemini and the Moon in big-picture Sagittarius, it feels incumbent upon us to stretch our mind’s eye to not make quick judgments but rather be able to see that the existence of one thing isn’t necessarily exclusive to that of another. As we look to events that are occurring in our lives, as well as those that are bursting forth on the collective world stage—including the protests occurring in the U.S. and across the world—it feels essential to give space for an array of things to have presence and veracity instead of just trimming things down to what feels like a simple perspective; a streamlined view may seem easier to hold and digest but its exclusionary nature doesn’t always allow for the embodiment of a full picture and the tapestry of truth that exists.
It’s complicated. Everything seems very complicated right now.
And yet, our turning away from the complexities also seems like it denies the depth and breadth of what is occurring—and what has led us to this moment.
And so, as we continue to stretch—something that feels like a powerful theme we’ve been steeped in over the past few months—we can see how stretching our orientation to take in all facets of the prismatic past and present—so that we can make conscious choices to guide us into the future—is an important step in breathing into a shared reality that informs justice, peace, and healing for all.
As always, wishing you all my very best,
Stephanie
PS. Weeks ago when I and Team Diva were planning for my next AstroSalon in which we’d explore the intense astrology of June—featuring two Eclipses, the retrograde cycles of Venus and Mercury, the Jupiter/Pluto Conjunction, and more—we decided to call it WTF June! As it turns out, the WTF-ness didn’t seem to wait to emerge until June 1, but rather has colored the last week. If you’d like powerful perspectives and practical strategies to give you a framework for and also help you navigate this transformative month, please join us on June 2 for our WTF June! AstroSalon. Find more details and sign up here. (And if you can’t make it at that time, know that you’ll get a recording of the presentation as well as accompanying handouts by signing up.)
