With Jupiter just stationing direct in Capricorn this past weekend and Saturn set to do the same later in the month, it feels like there’s another level of the experience of gravity to which we’re connecting, a heaviness that’s in the atmosphere (whether figuratively, or, of course, if you live in the West Coast of the U.S. quite literally). Solidity and density are at center stage as we see how rules—whether following or not following them—yield consequences. Seeing the ways in which we want to channel duty, responsibility, and loyalty can help us architect a long-term plan. The earth is capturing our attention and we can’t but see the resulting impacts caused by our disregarding it, not holding it with reverence and humility. As Capricorn reminds us of how precious time is, we may find ourselves relating to it with more awareness.

Be open-minded when you consider what is of value to you. Let yourself not pre-judge that inquiry; rather, see in the moment what arises that may have you discover a surprise when it comes to what you realize holds true richness in your life. I say this owing to this week’s Venus/Uranus Square. With this, you may also find that relationships need to be approached from a different angle, and that shake-ups may shake out staid ways of relating, breathing new life into possibilities that can emerge.

On Thursday, we have a Virgo New Moon, a lunation often associated with initiating new pathways in which we craft systems that allow us to live from a place of greater refinement and organization. As Virgo is dedicated to helping and healing, we can also find that what is being initiated is a deeper level of understanding as to how we can be of service to others.

During this time, there’s also a focus on arts and crafts. If you are working on a creative project, you may find the additional attention to detail you need in order to further refine your creation. If you’ve considered venturing into a new hobby—knitting, cooking, jewelry making, or something else that’s caught your fancy—this time may provide you with just the strategy and motivation you need to embark upon your new artful enterprise. And given that Virgo is a sign intimately connected to food, diet, and health, we may get extra inspired to focus on our self-care regimen. This has benefit always, yet in these times when our endurance feels like it’s being tested, finding ways to further bolster your body, mind and spirit seems of exceptional import.
