What a week!

After I just typed that sentence, which I was inspired to write when thinking about this week’s astrology, it immediately struck me that we could say that about so many weeks in our recent past. Let alone the week we just experienced, with the radical transformation of our society on full display.

All said, let’s though focus in here on this week.

It’s a potent one astrologically.

Straight away, we’re connected in to big ideas, big thoughts, and big news. With Mercury uniting with Jupiter and squaring Uranus, our minds may feel inspired with far-reaching visions and a desire to communicate concepts that encompass a wide field. There’s a lot of thinking and talking going on. Part of what we experience may shock or surprise us, or leave us with the “I never imagined that would happen” notion. At the same time, we may find ourselves feeling shocked—in a good way—by new territories we can discover if we try alternative approaches to creative expression or even problem-solving. If you find yourself stuck when trying to figure something out, move the pieces around, look at it from different angles, and see where you can discover new patterns.

This is good advice for the whole week, actually, not just for the beginning. That’s because not only is this the week when the revolutionary planet Uranus returns to direct motion, but also when it makes an alignment with make-it-bigger Jupiter.

Keep your knees bent, stay bouncy, and find moments where being adaptive—or even disruptive—can enhance your sense of security and groundedness.

This week we also have a Capricorn New Moon. This yearly event ushers in a new cycle when it comes to realms of discipline, rules of engagement, and working hard to achieve our aims.

Yet this one feels a bit different than your garden-variety Capricorn New Moon. Why?

Well, you know how last year was marked by the Saturn/Pluto Conjunction and Jupiter/Pluto Conjunction, all happening in Capricorn, which reflected the radical transformation we experienced personally and collectively? We saw institutional structures pushed to their brink, wondering whether they would hold under the weight of stress and pressure. We saw threats to the constitution of systems that we depend upon societally, as well as threats the U.S. Constitution itself.

Well, it turns out this week’s Capricorn New Moon not only meets up with Pluto but falls at the spot where these 2020 alignments did. And therefore it feels like it may embody some sort of crystallization of so much that we moved through, whether collectively or personally.

As the energy opens for a new chapter to emerge, key in for yourself as to how you see this coming to life personally and how you want to continue to navigate your way forward.

Yet again remember, with the Uranus station also happening this week—and right on the heels of this New Moon—be innovative and inventive in your thinking, seeing if a pivot or detour may help you to reach for the stars in a more powerful way.

All the while, as we reflect upon the last few days and continue to say “What a week!” this may also be a refrain we say numerous times this week as well.

Take good care,

Stephanie
