In honor of Venus entering Capricorn—the sign of efficiency, productivity, and frugality—this week, I’m going to try to make this post short and to the point. (We’ll see if I can do that, LOL.)

Venus’ climb into Capricorn is quite notable since owing to its upcoming retrograde cycle (beginning December 19), rather than spending the usual one month it does in a sign, it will spend four months in Capricorn. As such, we’re in for an extended period in which to learn more about how loyalty can pay off in spades, how working hard and working smart aren’t always the same, how being conservative financially can reap great rewards down the line, and how it feels when our relationships have solid foundations (and when they do not).

Yet, the big news of the week is the Scorpio New Moon as it’s not your garden variety one. After all, it makes an opposition to shake-it-up Uranus in garden-governing Taurus. Surprises may catch us off guard and illicit a deep stirring of emotion. Yet, instead of just waiting for the out-of-the-blue to arrive, use this time to do something unexpected. Change up your routines, take a detour, look at things from a different angle….doing so many have you more clearly connect with what it is that you truly desire and find meaningful. Of course, secrets may play a role as may the desire to wrest control—it is a Scorpio New Moon after all; dive into the mysteries and try to unshroud the hidden, all the while remembering that in times that you feel you don’t have control, you often do have choice.
