Stellar Insights: November 8 - 14, 2021

This week features an alignment I’ve had my eyes on for a while: the square alignment between Mercury and Mars in Scorpio and Saturn and the Moon in Aquarius occurring on November 10.

Looking at this we first see Mercury, the planet of the mind, joining with Mars, the planet of willpower, in a dynamic combination that likely has us feeling really animated. We may find our thoughts really activated and ideas flowing through us at a quick clip. With their both being in Scorpio, what we may find fascinating are the things that reside below the surface. A passion for sussing out secrets? Check. A drive to solving mysteries? Check. A somewhat obsession with all things deep and desirous? Check, check, check. As we exhume thoughts, feelings, and ideas that speak to the foundation of our heart and mind, we may wonder whether we just record these potent notions for ourselves or share them with other.

If we find ourselves affronted or suspect that someone is working against our desired outcomes, we may find ourselves with a greater proclivity to use our words as weapons, both offensively and defensively. A key element here is “suspect” – as Scorpio loves to swim in the murky waters, it’s often drawn to wanting to see things often shrouded from view. Sometimes this leads to a breakthrough discovery of something being hidden; yet at other times, our thinking that someone is keeping something from us takes on a life of its own, causing us to be overly suspicious or paranoid, resulting in unfounded beliefs that we’re being left out in the dark. Try to be as clear as you can this week, connect to your Spidey senses for more insights into whether something is being veiled or you just think that it is.

Reflecting this, given that Mercury and Mars make a tense square to both Saturn and the Moon in Aquarius, it’s really important to watch what we say and share, lest an instinctual explosion of words could leave us with consequences we would have rather avoided. Remember, once certain genies have left the bottle it’s hard to put them back in.

Yet there’s a way to work this alignment that can bring reward. Dig a bit deeper to explore facts that may be shrouded from view; all the while, see if you can find the words that allow you to better understand the feelings swirling in you. Do this inquiry as slowly and patiently as you can, knowing too that what you discover will not just give you benefit today but will provide you with important building blocks for your future.

Watch your motion. With Mars animating Mercury, we’re destined to want to move here and there, to ascend and descend from one layer to another.  Remember to be as mindful as you can while doing this. After all, Saturn often reminds us of our natural limits and if we’re pushing too fast and furious, and not being conscious of our location in space, we may hit a proverbial wall (or stub our toe, etc.)

A final note: also connected to this alignment is Uranus, as it makes an exact opposition to Mercury later in the week. This may throw in an element of surprise, and invites us also to surprise ourselves. See things from fresh eyes, and don’t just rely upon rote ways of envisioning what you desire and how to pursue them.

All my best,

Stephanie
