Hello Eclipse!

On Friday, we have the first of two Eclipse of the season (the subsequent one is on December 4).

This upcoming one is a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse. Featuring the Sun in Scorpio and the Moon in Taurus, it may bring illumination to many spheres of life, including finances, sexuality, and intimacy. We may find ourselves honing in on issues such as security and safety, both on a practical as well as emotional level. The question of whether we orient so that we can feel that we’re surviving rather than thriving may also draw out attention.

All the while, while we may feel ourselves in the midst of a great sea change, with life-shifting awareness or events coming our way, things may still seem quite obscured (it’s an Eclipse after all). Don’t push for premature clarity; have faith that more will arrive in the coming weeks. Be open to the nuances of your feelings, to what’s emerging within you, trying to really zoom in on how you feel, even if it’s confused or uncertain at the moment. With the Moon in Taurus, do ritual activities—journaling, art work, listening to music, creating an altar, etc.—that will help you marshal the strength of your emotional resilience at this moment.

Also remember that while an Eclipse occurs at a given moment, its energy sphere extends weeks before and after. As such, if you felt things really stirring earlier this month, and notably as this week begins—feeling the landscape changing in a significant yet still yet undecipherable way—you may be tuning into this energy.

Take comfort in the fact that since it’s the last week of Scorpio Season, there is extra encouragement to trust our capacity and ability to both resist and persist, depending upon which one helps you further dive deep into your well of resourcefulness. On Sunday, the Sun bounds into Sagittarius, and we enter a month in which quests and adventures, exploration of truth and discoveries of meaning, inspire our movement.
