Connections.

This week feels like one in which we may find ourselves making previously unforeseen connections.

I say this for numerous reasons.

Mercury is in the midst of its retrograde phase, a time in which we can get a new vantage point notably on how to best communicate ideas and feelings. By re-traversing conversations or projects undertaken, we may find ourselves having Aha! moments that derive from seeing things with fresh eyes and from a different angle.

Additionally, there’s a full court press of planets in the sign of connect-the-dots Aquarius, with several of them making connections this week. We’ve got the Sun uniting with Mercury, and then Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter all meeting up. Let alone, Thursday’s Aquarius New Moon features the luminaries—the Sun and Moon—in Aquarius.

Taking a step back to see the bigger picture may yield a greater understanding of connections that are inherent in a system in which you’re involved. That system may be anything: your family structure, your holistic well-being, a project you’re working on, a collective with which you’re involved, an aspect of the world in which you live, to name a few.

The Mercury/Venus/Jupiter triple conjunction invites us to further understand just what it is that we value. We may also find ourselves wanting to infuse our language with more grace and beauty, using it to champion for causes near and dear to us. We could also find ourselves focused upon expanding our reach, whether through activating or re-activating partnerships and/or adding new design elements to the platforms we use to communicate with others.

All of this may lead to the beginning of something new in our lives. We may find ourselves resonating with new technologies, or social causes, or global ideas with which we feel really aligned. Consider what intentions you want to make for the next month and invoke this just after the New Moon.

Also, remember…we’re on the heels of the first Saturn/Uranus Square. We’ve been feeling this energy for quite a while now, even though the planet of age-old wisdom, Saturn, and the planet of revolutionary future-looking knowledge, don’t exactly align until next week (February 17). Look to the world to witness this, looking for conflicts between the old guard and the vanguard, between older sages with valuable experience and younger firebrands who have courage to pave innovative paths, between those who want to honor the rules and those who disregard them, and between stable reliability and radical chaos.

Invariably, aka hopefully, throughout this year of this alignment we’ll find a way to weave together the best of Saturn and Uranus so that they can work in partnership, to architect structures of solutions that invoke innovative ways of doing things so that we can solve longstanding problems and create more equitable systems that honor all living beings. Hopefully we will make flash-forward movements of progress, while further understanding just what progress really means.
