Stellar Insights: April 12 - 18, 2021

This week, notably as it begins, we may find ourselves focusing on the ways we want to fight for and protect those we cherish, whether that’s our children, the creative projects to which we have given birth and/or our ideals and values. I note that for two reasons:
First, on Tuesday we have the Sun/Eris Conjunction. Eris is the dwarf planet that represents feminine warrior energy, the need to fight against injustice, the drive to rail against a feeling of being excluded and cast off. And with this we may find ourselves championing in the pursuit of inclusion, whether for ourselves or others. Eris carries with it a strong edge of chaos, an inspiration to create discord, whether out of upset or as a strategy to get what one wants.
The next day, messenger Mercury aligns with Ceres, another dwarf planet associated with a feminine archetype, this one of the protective mother who fights for her children—whether her progeny and/or creative acts—with endurance and ferocity. We may find that we have deeper access to understanding the passionate maternal instincts of ourselves and/or someone else. Given that Ceres is also a celestial body that embodies the archetypes of Mother Earth, it may also be Gaia for whom we find ourselves lit up to fight for.
Taken together, these powerful alignments could have us connect deeply to that which inflames us—whether because its associated upset inspires our anger/rage and/or it lights us up passionately, catalyzing our urge to create. We may find ourselves wanting to more clearly take a stand in the world for these things while also finding ourselves more connected to ideas and thoughts that help us to do so in a more generative and clarified manner. All said, though, we could find that the pathway to this place involves deep commitment, a modicum of creative chaos, and perhaps that feeling of being so stirred that we feel out of control and yet realize its the passageway we need to take to discover a new realm where we can have both understanding and a sense of standing.
The new insights that emerge may continue to take on depth and breadth this week. A tense square between the Sun and Pluto, another celestial body now classified as a dwarf planet may add to our desire and ability to get our hands literally or figuratively dirty as we connect to the deep truths that guide us and want expression. With Pluto then squaring messenger Mercury and then the latter later connecting to the Sun, we could find that the whole week offer us a trajectory for the discerning, designing, and broadcasting of ideas that have deep meaning and which we feel are really worth fighting for.
