Hello nature! Hello sensuality! Hello practicality!

Hello Taurus season!

On Monday, not only does the Sun move into this slow and steady sign, but so does messenger Mercury joining values-driven Venus and shake-it-up Uranus already residing in Taurus.

And with that, as we flow from Aries to Taurus Season, there’s likely to be a noticeable shift in energy as the way we move, speak, and process our thoughts transitions; an urge to move quickly and a desire to initiate lots of new things recedes as an affinity for being leisurely, considering things from a pragmatic perspective, and wanting to feel grounded takes its place.

And while we may find ourselves wanting things to proceed at a consistent pace, it’s important to not be too rigid when it comes to expectations, whether in relationships, money matters, experiences involving pleasure, or communications and learning. That’s because the planet that reminds us that often evolution occurs via the unexpected, Uranus, makes a connection with both Venus and Mercury this week.

If you’ve been following my work for a bit, you know that one of my favorite maxims when it comes to Uranus-inspired times is “Stay Bouncy” and this is a great week to have this mantra on a rinse/repeat cycle. If we can maintain a flexible stance, look at things through the lens of beginner’s mind, allow ourselves to orient from a place of wonder and curiosity, be ready to pivot, and be aware that detours may pepper our path (and even see places where we can elect to go a different route than our usual go-to), the week may not only be less stressful but yield treasures of beautiful surprise. Take advantage of the invitation to shake things up and “re-arrange the furniture”—whether that’s literally or figuratively, the latter reflecting activities in which you move things (even ideas, beliefs, and perspectives) around to envision opportunities and connect to a sense of freedom not previously experienced.

Yet, that’s not Mercury’s and Venus’s only tie-in this week; as they unite with each other, they also make a square to structured Saturn. And so, as we find ourselves wanting to re-invent, being open to the out-of-the-blue, and giving ourselves permission to change things up, we also need to keep in mind the importance of dependability, accountability, and the diligence required to cross our t’s and dot our i’s that Saturn inspires.

Find a way to move things around that honors changes that are sustainable and have lasting value. Remember that the nature of nature is change.

Not only may this week feel riveting in terms of needing to heed the call to make shifts that invariably repave and bolster our foundations but it may also feel like a moment that allows you to get into the groove of this year. After all, 2021 is marked by the Saturn/Uranus Square—an alignment that has us try to find balance between the old guard and the vanguard—and this week we have two personal planets—Mercury and Venus—being inspired by it. Find possibilities that allow you to re-envision how you can translate your values into the world, through your actions, communications, and the things you are building.
