Stellar Insights: October 3 - 9, 2022
Mercury is now moving direct again. In the next few days, as the messenger planet starts to move at a quicker clip, you may notice that things that felt stalled now finally seem like they have traction and can proceed with more ease and speed.
I’m curious: Over the last few days, have you found yourself excessively focused on organizing and cataloguing, trying to find solutions that had previously evaded you, those what could help you introduce more order and precision? I ask this because as Mercury was stationing to end its retrograde cycle it was doing so in Virgo, the sign that heralds systematic approaches that revere the details.
I certainly did, notably on Saturday when I became somewhat obsessed with figuring out a way to re-arrange our kitchen so that we could cook in it more efficiently plus have it look more streamlined and less cluttered. Part of doing this, and I kid you not, had me researching countertop compost bins for a period of time that far exceeded the total amount of time in my life I had previously ever thought about those objects; yet, while all of this took quite a while, my dive-into-the-details Virgoan approach seems to already be paying off in spades when it comes to our enjoyment of our kitchen and home.
As the weekend comes into view, so may a sense of intensity. After all, on Saturday, discover-the-depths Pluto shifts direct. As you know, when a planet appear to change directions, the realms that it governs feel quite prominent in our collective awareness. With Pluto connected to the themes of survival, the cycles of life, death and rebirth, power and control, don’t be surprised if you feel more deeply stirred than usual. Allowing ourselves to give voice to our feelings—including heavy ones such as grief, sorrow, and fear—can be quite healing at the moment. Be in alignment with the Plutonian invitation to let go of things outworn by doing deep cleaning, exfoliating your skin, purging a closet, and/or weeding your garden.
The weekend’s energy may also be quite elevated given that on Sunday we have a Full Moon. With this one featuring the Sun in Libra and the Moon in Aries, we may find ourselves called to fight for justice in a deeper and more meaningful way. We may also be more sensitive to, and therefore feel more upset by, an imbalance in an important relationship. Look deeply to see where inequity exists, and then passionately—yet patiently—work with your friend or partner to recalibrate the dynamics so that you can both feel more enriched by your alliance.
Given that the Full Moon aligns with Chiron in Aries, we may find ourselves more triggered than usual, with wounds or scars from the past feeling quite energized. And yet, this also allows us the opportunity to uproot them from their hiding place, hold them compassionately and release them, and with that experience quite a deep level of healing.
To help you further attune to the Aries Full Moon, here are two of the Stellar Reflection Questions for it that I included in my book, The Astrological Self-Care Journal:
My friends who I would describe as courageous include:
How can I assert myself in a more graceful way?
Wishing you a beautifully transformative week!
