Stellar Insights: February 21 - 27, 2022
Try to invite more softness into your life this week. After all, with both Mars and Venus making a sweet sextile alignment with flowing Neptune, we’re encouraged to do so. Given all that’s going on in the world, that may seem like a tall order. And yet, it may also be just what we need to find sweetness, and to take care of ourselves and others.
There are so many ways to invite softness into your life. Here are ten ideas to get you started. (Of course, you don’t need to do all of them; just find your favorites.)
Make some tea, nestle into your favorite chair/sofa, and let your mind drift to wherever it wants to go.
Wear your softest sweater or t-shirt.
Move more slowly.
Add bubbles to your bath.
If faced with something that would instinctively trigger a harsh reaction on your part, let yourself take three deep breaths before responding; this may be all it takes to melt away some of the edginess, transforming the way you feel, let alone your reaction.
If possible, use a spoon rather than a fork when eating. Witness how it transforms your relationship with the food, and the visual and tactile experience of eating it.
Look in the mirror and, in a heartfelt way, give yourself three complements. (If it seems hard at first, don’t judge yourself. Focus on your breathing and let yourself source awareness of the gifts you know you have, the value that you are.)
Pet a puppy or cat.
Take a sabbatical (whether a day or even an hour) from your computer, tablet, and/or phone.
In your mind’s eye, picture people you love (yourself included) and envision them being wrapped in a blanket of love.
If inviting in softness seems like an out-of-the-blue idea, a notion that seems errant, and/or not your go-to, don’t worry. With this week’s Mercury/Uranus Square, we have an invitation to take a new tact when it comes to communicating and learning new approaches for expanding our understanding.
