Stellar Insights: February 10 - 16, 2020
I was struck that as we were in the glimmers of the Venus/Chiron conjunction in Aries last night how Joaquin Phoenix’s Oscar acceptance speech reflected some of its invitation.
He started off by speaking about how acting his given him and other actors the “opportunity to use our voice for the voiceless.” It felt like a strong call to action (Aries) to fight for those who have suffered injuries (Chiron) from an actor with talent, charm. and grace (Venus).
Also in his speech, I heard so strongly the reflection of the upcoming Jupiter and Saturn transits through Aquarius (including their Great Conjunction in December) and the clarion call to marshal our ability to “create, develop and implement systems of change that are beneficial to all sentient beings in the environment.” If you want to watch/listen to his speech you can do so here.
(For more on the Venus/Chiron Conjunction, see Stellar Insights from last week.)
As this week draws to a close, the latest Mercury Retrograde cycle begins. It goes through March 9, and spans 13 Pisces to 28 Aquarius. (For dates for upcoming Mercury Retrograde cycles, see here.)
Remember that contrary to ‘popular belief’ this three-week period isn’t negative. It is beneficial to go slow, take pauses, and be patient; if not, we could find ourselves frustrated by communications seeming to be at cross purposes or not flowing as we’re used to.
Yet, this period offers great gifts if we flow in the same direction as Mercury does. As it’s re-traversing territory in the sky, we also should revisit terrain that we’ve already traveled when it comes to the way we understand and share information and insights. Pivot to reflect upon the past, seeing how treasures—whether manifest in resources, people, or past messaging campaigns—can provide you with a new way of formulating a path to synthesizing awareness. It’s a time to honor the value of “re”–review, re-edit, rewrite, reconsider, reframe, etc—to construct understanding that has a more integral foundation.
That said, there are possibilities for feeling a bit frazzled and/or edge. As such, I thought to compile and offer you some self-care strategies for navigating Mercury Retrograde. You can find them here. (Also, if you want personalized Mercury Retrograde insights, check out the Stellar Access recordings I’m doing.)
Given that Mercury Retrograde lasts three weeks, I may continue to write about it in my upcoming Stellar Insights.
Until next week,
All my very best,
Stephanie
